Satellite TV and Cable TV Price Comparisons

Now that I'm equipped with solid channel information, I'm going to look at the prices on both satellite and cable TV packages. I made a chart below to make it little simpler for me to understand the prices. I hope you find it useful.

Whew~ there are just too many choices and options to consider!

At this point, I'm leaning toward Dish Network's Silver 200 or Gold 250. These two packages have the most attracting price tags on. The only reason why I like Dish Network's plan over DirecTV's "The Choice Xtra" is the number of channels vs price. Dish Network's "Silver 200" plan is 8 dollars cheaper with more channels.

Another thing I noticed, both cable company's prices are horrible. I really don't understand why people even consider subscribing to a cable TV company. Look at the price for Dish Network's "Gold 250" and Comcast's "Digital Premier" packages. The "Digital Premier" package is almost twice the price of "Gold 250". Maybe I'm missing something here. If any of you know why someone would choose a cable TV service over a satellite TV service, please explain to me.

Maybe I will find out as I look deeper into extra service fees on the next page. Maybe.. maybe.. there might be some horrible extra fees added on satellite TV services. We will see.
